The V-ring is a full-rubber axial pressureless seal for slipping onto a shaft with an inclined thin sealing lip, which rests on a sealing surface perpendicular to the shaft axis. The V-ring also acts as a splash ring, as it is mounted on the shaft with an overlap and rotates with it. The sealing lip prevents lubricant from leaking out of the sealed part and provides protection against splash water and any dirt from the outside.
Type VS is a reinforced profile and has a wider body with a bevel compared to type VA, which achieves greater fixation.
The NBR material with a hardness of 60 ShA is suitable for temperatures from -35 °C to +110 °C.
