Teroson Terotex Wax Anthracite is a solvent-based anti-corrosion agent for vehicle underbody protection, repairs and secondary treatment of protective coatings.

Terotex – wax is a solvent-based anti-corrosion agent without added bitumen, based on wax, poly. The product is applied using the Teroson UBC spray gun from 1l cans, but also from drums without the aid of air. Thanks to its excellent non-flow properties, this material can be applied up to a thickness of 1 mm. Terotex – wax is mainly used as a spray for vehicle chassis, especially as a treatment for protective coatings based on PVC, PVC/wax, Bitumen/rubber and rubber/resin.

Before application: The surfaces to which Terotex – wax will be applied must be well cleaned and free of rust. The surfaces must be dry, clean, free of grease, dirt and dust. Apply Terotex – wax only to dry surfaces. Resin/wax-based coatings may cause problems with the adhesion of Terotex – wax. If you are applying the product to the chassis of a new car, it is necessary to remove the protective wax using steam, or first perform an adhesion test. If you intend to apply the product to an older vehicle, pay special attention to removing all rust using a wire brush.

Temperature during application: The vehicle chassis must not be too cold to ensure sufficient adhesion and proper application. The temperature of the product and the substrate should be at least 15°C. Application from 1 l cans: Terotex – wax is applied using the Teroson – UBS application gun, application pressure: approx. 3 bar. Shake the can before use. Recommended wet coating thickness: approx. 0.5 mm. Only a small amount of mist is created with this high-performance device.

Cleaning: Remove spills immediately with petrol or use Cleaner – FL. Terotex – wax can be easily removed with petrol or alcohol. Larger amounts can be removed with high-pressure steam. Therefore, a chassis treated with Terotex - wax cannot be cleaned with high-pressure water vapor unless this procedure removes the remains of the old coating.
