Terotex Super 3000 black can be overcoated with classic car paints (regular and water-based paints). Drying in a drying oven is possible without problems for both painted and unpainted parts. After complete drying, the coating can be sanded / sandblasted. It has a high durability and excellent properties for spraying. This allows almost any surface to be covered.

Application areas:

Terotex – Super 3000 black is used to protect visible parts of the bodywork as protection against abrasion caused by flying gravel, salt and moisture and allows the creation of a varnish on the repaired area. Not suitable for elastic materials.

Technical data: black

The surface must be clean, dry and free of rust, petroleum jelly, dust and other impurities. Thoroughly cover the surface that is not intended to be painted with Terotex – Super 3000 black. You can improve the adhesion of the product by roughening the surface with sandpaper.

Application:

Terotex – Super 3000 light is applied using a Teroson – UBS application gun from 1l cans. An application pressure of 4 – 5 bar is recommended. Shake the can thoroughly before use. Do not leave the can open so that the material does not dry out (and does not form a crust on the surface). A nice surface structure can be obtained using classic application guns that are commonly available in paint stores. The thickness of the Terotex – Super 3000 black layer should not exceed 1 mm. The maximum thickness of the preparation layer can be obtained by applying it in several application cycles. After applying the Terotex – Super 3000 black structural coating, the surface can be painted so-called "wet on wet" (after about 15 minutes) with classic car paints (regular and water-based paints). For best results, paint up to 6 hours after applying the coating. After complete drying, treat the coating as if it were plastic before painting - i.e. it is recommended to sand the surface and use a suitable primer.

Drying:

After painting so-called "wet on wet", the drying process can be accelerated without complications by using a drying oven (temperature 60°C). If the painting process requires the use of infrared drying, leave the Terotex – Super 3000 black layer to air dry for at least 3 hours before painting. If Terotex – Super 3000 black is exposed to infrared radiation immediately, blisters will form.

Painting plastics:

To create the original structure of a plastic bumper (see Teroson plastic repair kit), mix Terotex – Super 300 (but not with water-based paint). The mixing ratio should not be higher than 50 vol. % of paint and hardener. It is possible to add a small amount of the original paint for slight tinting to obtain a matt appearance.

By using different application pressures, distances from the substrate and application nozzles, it is possible to obtain different surface structures. Before applying Terotex – Super 3000 black to plastic parts, Terokal – 150 plastic primer must be used.

Remove spills immediately with Cleaner – D. Already dried Terotex – Super 3000 black can only be removed mechanically. Warning: Cleaner – D damages some plastics and coatings!
