Pattex Chemoprén Footwear

Pattex Chemoprén Footwear is a special contact adhesive based on polyurethane in a mixture of organic solvents, designed for bonding and repairing footwear, including sports footwear. Due to its versatility, it is suitable for a wide range of materials used in the footwear industry, such as various types of uppers and soles. The adhesive is ideal for bonding materials with different hardness, such as PVC, polycarbonate, plexiglass and ABS.

Application:

Pattex Chemoprén Footwear is ideal for bonding and repairing footwear, including sports footwear. It is suitable for all types of uppers and soles and firmly bonds materials such as metal, rubber, leather, imitation leather, cork, felt, textile, softened PVC, ABS, foam materials and wood. Not suitable for polystyrene foam, synthetic leather, PE, PP and Teflon.

Typical properties:

Before curing: Transparent adhesive with high adhesion.

After curing: High bond strength, resistance to aging and chemicals.

Use for application:

It is recommended to use a brush or spatula to evenly apply the adhesive to the bonded surfaces.

Coverage:

For double-sided application, the consumption is 250 280 – 400 ml/m².

Instructions for use:

1. Prepare the surface: The materials to be bonded must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Remove grease and dirt with a solvent such as acetone or technical alcohol.

2. Apply the adhesive: Spread the adhesive evenly onto the bonded surfaces with a brush or spatula.

3. Venting: Let the adhesive vent for approx. 5–10 minutes.

4. Connection: After the adhesive has aired out, press the bonded parts together with as much force as possible for a few seconds.

5. Final strength: Reached after 24 hours depending on the material and pressing force.

Packaging:

Available in a 50 ml tube.

Store in the original closed packaging in a dry and well-ventilated place. Protect from temperatures below +5 °C and above +50 °C. The storage period is 24 months from the date of production.
