Molykote HSC Plus is a paste for screws, threads and metal friction joints. It is a lead- and nickel-free lubricating paste with solid lubricants, which is intended for the lubrication of threaded joints and metal/metal contact surfaces operating in corrosive environments and in areas with low speeds and extremely high operating temperatures.
Molykote HSC Plus thread paste is most often used for screw joints, where not only easy assembly and disassembly after prolonged periods of high temperatures is required, but also to ensure the electrical conductivity of threaded joints. Molykote HSC Plus thread paste offers other useful properties:
·high pressure load capacity,
·high-temperature thread lubricant,·good protection of threads against corrosion,
·good electrical conductivity in screw connections,
·permanently low< ·achieving precise tightening torques in screw connections,
·problem-free dismantling of threads exposed to high temperatures up to 1100 °C.
Molykote HSC Plus thread lubricant is used, for example, for lubricating screws on turbocompressors of diesel engines, on flange connections in the chemical industry, for lubricating screws on steam and gas turbines or is applied as a lubricant for electrically conductive parts.
