Molykote D-21 AFC is an air-curing metal lubricant (dry lubricant) with extreme temperature resistance. It is a modified version of Molykote D-321R lubricant for power plants: it contains more solid lubricants (the amount of chlorine and fluorine is below 200 ppm).
Molykote D-21 AFC lubricant is designed for coating metal/metal surfaces operating at low to medium speeds and under high loads, ideal for fluctuating sliding speeds or intermittent operation.
Dry lubricant for metal with excellent properties and application possibilities, not only as a lubricant for power plants and the energy industry: improving the running-in process, eliminating jerky sliding, high resistance to aging, lubrication of expansion friction surfaces on steel structures, long-term lubrication of highly stressed. extreme temperatures,
· anti-friction varnish for achieving scratch-free cold extrusion of steel,
· extremely wide temperature range from -180 °C to +450 °C (without air up to +630 °C).
Anti-friction varnish Molykote D-21 AFC is used, for example, for threaded connections made of certain alloys for nuclear power plants (not for the first circuit, no contact with radiation) and its use and drying are identical to those of Molykote D-321R.
Molykote D-21 AFC is successfully used on flush screws, high-voltage switches, during running-in of highly stressed teeth in wind power plants. Its other use is as a high-performance lubricant for the automotive industry.
