Molykote D-10 is an excellent metal lubricant (heat-curing dry lubricant) designed to create a perfectly smooth metal/metal contact operating at low to moderate speeds and moderate to high loads. Molykote D-10 is designed for direct (ideal for steel and aluminum engine pistons), especially for engine run-in and cold starts, where: Wear resistance, Reduced wear of pistons and cylinder walls during run-in, Excellent resistance to oils, lubricants and solvents, Screen printing lubricant, Elimination of engine wear during cold starts in frosts down to -70°C. Molykote D-10 is used mainly in the automotive industry, e.g. as a long-term lubricating coating on pistons of gasoline and diesel engines, compressors or piston pumps. It is also used in pneumatic and hydraulic systems and in other applications.
