Loctite UR 7228 (Macroplast UR 7228, IDH 70697) is a one-component, solvent-free, moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive. This product is designed for bonding rigid PVC or PU foams to painted or epoxy-primed sheet metal. It is ideal for the production of sandwich elements from porous materials such as wood that contain moisture. Loctite UR 7228 provides very fast processing and offers excellent adhesion at minimal pressure.

Application:

• of porous materials such as wood and for bonding rigid PVC or PU foams to painted or epoxy-based sheet metal. Used in applications where fast workability and high bond strength are required. Before curing: Liquid mixture with fast workability. After curing: Hard at low and high temperatures.

Use for application:

• Loctite UR 7228 can be applied with a spatula or trowel or by spraying. For substrates with low humidity, a fine spray of water can be recommended to aid curing. Substrates should be pressed immediately after application of the adhesive to ensure sufficient contact during curing.

Instructions for use:

1. Clean the surface from dust, grease and other contaminants. spray.
2. If the substrate moisture is low, a fine water spray is recommended.
3. Ensure pressure on the bonded parts during curing.
4. It takes 1 day to reach final strength.

Storage:

• Recommended storage temperature: 8 °C to 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C may adversely affect the properties of the product.
