Product detailed description
Loctite UK 8309 Part A (also known as Macroplast UK 8309, IDH 667250) is a two-component, solvent-free polyurethane adhesive. The resin part (Part A) contains organic compounds with hydroxyl groups and the hardener (Part B) is based on isocyanates. When the two components are mixed in a ratio of 5:1, a hard, elastic material is formed which shows no measurable change in volume after curing. This product is ideal for bonding metals, synthetic materials, wood and rigid foams, particularly in the automotive industry, in the production of truck bodies.
Advantages:
- Solvent-free two-component construction adhesive.
- High viscosity, pasty consistency.
- Hard, elastic bond without measurable volume changes after curing.
- Foam.

Applications: Loctite UK 830 rigid foam. The main applications include the assembly of truck bodies, bonding of elements in the container manufacturing industry and other structural components. strength and without volume changes.
Use for application:
- The adhesive can be mixed manually or using an automatic two-component dosing system. Mix components A and B in a ratio of 5:1 and apply during the pot life. It is recommended to maintain sufficient pressure on the bonded parts throughout the curing period.
Instructions for use:
- Prepare the surface by removing dust, grease and other contaminants. The use of a suitable primer can improve the adhesion and stability of the joint.
- Mix components A and B in a ratio of 5:1 (by weight). Stir thoroughly to prevent air entrapment.
- Apply the mixture to the surface during the pot life (40 to 60 minutes).
- Ensure sufficient pressure on the bonded parts during curing.
Surface preparation: Use Loctite SF 7 cleaner to thoroughly degrease and remove dirt. If you are working with plastic materials, Loctite SF 7070 is the ideal choice, which will provide gentle but effective cleaning without damaging the surface.
Hand cleaning after work: After finishing the application, use Loctite SF 7850, which is suitable for effective hand cleaning. This biodegradable cleaner removes oils, greases and other contaminants. Loctite polyurethanes for easy selection.
Packaging: Loctite UK 8309 is available in 30 kg packages.
Storage:
- Component A: Recommended storage temperature 15 to 25 °C:> Recommended shelf life. storage temperature 15 to 30 °C, shelf life 12 months. Component B is sensitive to frost.
