Product detailed description
Loctite UK 8202 - component A (also known as Macroplast UK 8202, IDH 176894) is a two-component, solvent-free polyurethane adhesive. This adhesive is ideal for bonding pre-treated metals, synthetic materials and rigid foams. Due to its flexibility and high strength, it is widely used in the production of sandwich elements, aluminum honeycomb panels and insulation elements in the automotive, container and marine industries. supplies,to be ordered separately.
Advantages:
- Solvent-free two-component polyurethane adhesive with high strength.
- Stable volume during curing without measurability. metals, plastics and rigid foams.
- Can be used at temperatures down to -190 °C.
Technical parameters:
- Technology: Polyurethane
- Product type: PU adhesive
- Component A - cream, component B - brown
- Mixing ratio (weight): 4:1
- Mixing ratio (volume): 3.4:1
- Consistency:
- Component A: liquid (viscosity 23,000, 23,000 °C)
- Component B: thin liquid (viscosity 150 to 350 mPa.s, Brookfield, 20 °C)
- Mixed product: liquid (viscosity 8,000 mPa.s, 23 °C) at 0 of 2/2 at 20 °C: 0 of 20 °C: °C (125 g mixture)
- Shear strength (steel/steel): >12 MPa according to EN 1465
- Temperature resistance: -190 °C to +80 °C
Application:
bonding of pre-treated metals, synthetic materials and rigid foams, especially in the production of sandwich panels, aluminium honeycomb panels and technical insulation. It is also suitable for potting, cavity filling and coating.
Typical properties:
- Before curing: Liquid mixture with high viscosity.
- After curing: Hard but elastic material with high strength.
Use for application:
- The adhesive can be mixed manually using an electric mixer or using an automatic two-component dosing system. Mix components A and B in a ratio of 4:1 and apply during the pot life. It is recommended to maintain sufficient pressure on the bonded parts during curing.
Instructions for use:
- Prepare the surface by removing dust, grease and other contaminants. Using a primer on metal surfaces will improve adhesion.
- Mix components A and B in a ratio of 4:1 (by weight). Stir slowly to avoid entraining air into the mixture.
- Apply the adhesive within the recommended pot life (100 minutes at 20°C).
- Ensure that the bonded parts are under sufficient pressure during curing.
Application:
-
Surface preparation: For thorough degreasing and removal of dirt, use Loctite SF 7070 cleaner, which provides gentle but effective cleaning without damaging the surface.
Material: For thorough removal of old deposits and dirt, including oils, greases and other industrial dirt, use Loctite SF 7840 -
Hand cleaning after work: After finishing the application, use Loctite SF 7850, which is suitable for effective hand cleaning. This biodegradable cleaner removes oils, greases and other contaminants. Loctite polyurethanes for easy selection.
Packaging: Loctite UK 8202 is available in 24 kg packages.
Storage:
- Components A and B: Recommended storage temperature 15 to 30 °C, storage time.
