Product detailed description

Loctite UK 8103(also known as Macroplast UK 8103, IDH 176884) is a two-component solvent. This adhesive consists of a resin (component A - Loctite UK 8103) and a hardener (component B - Loctite UK 5 style="font-family: inherit; font-size: 0.8125rem; letter-spacing: 0.02em;">), which when mixed create a strong and flexible adhesive bond. It is used for bonding pre-prepared metals, synthetic materials, wood and rigid foam. Main applications include the production of sandwich elements in the automotive, container and marine industries, but also potting and coating of parts. and foams.

  • Volume stability during curing, without measurable changes.
  • Easy application using both manual and automatic systems.
  • Technical parameters:

    • Technology: Polyurethane
    • Product type Polyaddition (mixing of resin and hardener)
    • Color: Component A - beige, component B - brown
    • Mixing ratio (weight): 5:1
    • Mixing ratio (volume): 3.7:1
    • Cons: (viscosity 24,000 to 30,000 mPa.s, Brookfield, 20 °C)
    • Component B: thin liquid (viscosity 250 to 350 mPa.s, Brookfield, 20 °C)
    • <0>Mixed product: liquid mPa.s, 25 °C)
  • Potency: 40 to 70 minutes at 20 °C (120 g mixture)
  • Time to reach final strength: 5 to 7 days at 23 °C
  • Shear strength (ag/o/ 1465
  • Temperature resistance: -40 °C to +80 °C
  • Application:

    • Loctite UK 8103 is best suited for the production of sandwich elements in the automotive, container and marine industries. It can also be used for potting, filling and coating parts. Typical applications include bonding metal, plastic and wood parts, especially where high strength and flexibility of the joint are required. Loctite SF 7063 . If you are working with plastic materials, Loctite SF 7070 is the ideal choice, which ensures gentle but effective cleaning without damaging the surface.

      Material:
To thoroughly remove old deposits and dirt, including oils, greases and other industrial dirt, use Loctite SF 7840

    • Hand cleaning after work: After finishing the application, use Loctite SF 7850 , which is suitable for effective hand cleaning. This biodegradable cleaner removes oils, greases and other dirt. Loctite polyurethanes for easy selection.

      Typical properties:

      • Before curing: High viscosity of the resin and lower viscosity of the hardener, homogeneous mixture after mixing.
      • After curing: Hard but flexible material with excellent resistance.

        Use for application:

        • Application can be done manually using a spatula or roller, or automatically using a two-component dosing system. For optimal results, it is recommended to adhere to the correct mixing ratio and apply the product within the recommended pot life.

        Instructions for use:

        1. Prepare the surface by removing dirt, oil and grease. A primer can be used on metal surfaces for better adhesion.
        2. Component A must be mixed well before use.
        3. Mix components A and B in a ratio of 5:1 (by weight). Stir slowly and thoroughly to avoid air entrainment.
        4. Apply the mixture to the surface during the pot life (40 to 70 minutes).
        5. Ensure that the joint is under sufficient pressure during curing to ensure good contact between the surfaces.
        6. Excess adhesive. After curing, removal is only possible mechanically.

Packaging: Loctite UK 8103 is available in 24 kg packages. Shelf life 12 months in unopened original packaging.

      • Component B: Recommended storage temperature 15 to 30 °C, shelf life 12 months in unopened original packaging.
