Loctite 5970 is a premium structural silicone adhesive with excellent resistance to engine oils. This single-component alkoxy silicone is a black paste that cures by vulcanization at room temperature in a gap of up to 1 mm and is used wherever:
·neutral cure,·flexible flange sealing,·structural and surface bonding,·resistance to many oils,< metal and plastic,
·almost immediate resistance to low pressure even before the silicone starts to cure.
Loctite 5970 Surface Seal is a non-corrosive silicone sealant that is suitable for the automotive industry, manufacturing and repair industries due to its oil resistance. Typically used to prevent engine oil leakage from covers (pressed steel sheets) or oil pans, where good resistance to large movements of the sealed joint and temperature resistance up to 200 °C are required.
