Loctite 5940 black (replaces Loctite SI 593) is a premium silicone for large joints, which, thanks to its unique chemical composition and internal properties, offers excellent adhesive and sealing properties. It is suitable for most surfaces except concrete and can be successfully used as an adhesive for metal, glass, ceramics, composites and most plastics. Loctite SI 5940 RTV silicone is a black thixotropic paste (does not run from the application area), the advantages of which include: temperature resistance up to +250 ° C, maximum joint size up to 8 mm, permanent flexible and tough flange bonding, non-hardening sealant, water shrinkage, application options: sealing, pouring or painting, resistance to aging, temperature cycling, weathering, UV radiation and ozone. Loctite 5940 begins to cure under the influence of air humidity within a few minutes, reaches a non-stick surface in two hours and cures in 24 hours.
