Loctite 7091 is a high-performance, low-viscosity, solvent-free primer & surface activator (reactive monomer) designed specifically for chrome-plated surfaces, where it improves bond integrity. It is designed for use with Loctite anaerobic adhesives for heavy-duty bonding of galvanized or zinc-plated steel surfaces and applications where large gaps are present. These can hold a larger amount of adhesive and without Loctite 7091 activator, cure would be very slow. Loctite 7091 Primer provides excellent treatment of metal surfaces and in the area of steel bonding offers a number of improvements in the properties of Loctite adhesives and sealants:
at low temperature (< 5 °C),
·acceleration of curing on passive and inactive surfaces,
·acceleration of curing when bonding surfaces with large joints,
·primer for galvanized steel, galvanized and chrome-plated surfaces.
