Loctite HY 4090 GY is a general purpose, two-component structural adhesive for general bonding that achieves a very fast cure at room temperature. It is designed for bonding a variety of materials such as metals, most plastics and rubber. Loctite HY 4090 GY also offers good resistance to temperature and humidity, making it very suitable for applications in environments with increased temperature and humidity. The thixotropic nature makes this product particularly suitable for applications where it is necessary to fill joints, for very rough or imperfectly adhering surfaces. Instructions for use&;

1. The bonded surfaces should be clean and degreased. Clean all surfaces with a suitable Loctite cleaner and leave to dry.
2. When using, it is necessary to mix components A and B. The product is applied from the double cartridge directly through the static mixer (not included in the package).
3. Place the double cartridge on the cap. In this position, then insert the double cartridge into the application gun and start pressing the pistons by lightly pressing the trigger.
4. Remove the cap and squeeze a small amount of adhesive to make sure that both components flow smoothly and freely. Attach the static mixer and start squeezing adhesive.
5. Extrude the first 3 - 8 cm of the slurry from the end of the static mixer into the waste, as the adhesive may not be well mixed at first.
6. Apply the adhesive directly from the static mixer. Join the parts to be bonded immediately after applying the adhesive.
7. The bonded joint should be firmly fixed or clamped until the adhesive setting time has been reached.
8. Leave the bonded parts alone during curing. The adhesive must be allowed to cure properly before applying any load to the bonded joint.
