Loctite Frekote PMC (IDH 381114 /FK1380L50) is a special cleaner designed to remove waxes and other contaminants from polyester, epoxy and metal molds. Thanks to its composition, it effectively dissolves contaminants without damaging the mold surface. This product is ideal for preparing molds prior to the application of Loctite Frekote release agents and is widely used in the composites industry and other applications requiring perfect mold cleanliness.

Typical properties:

• Before curing: The product is in the form of a clear liquid that is easy to apply and quickly releases waxes and others. The mold surface remains undamaged and is ready for the application of release agents, without tarnishing or other damage.

Use for application:

• Recommended tools: Apply the product with a clean cotton cloth. Contaminants such as wax will begin to dissolve immediately and should be removed with another clean cloth as long as they are dissolved in Frekote PMC. Recommended products for application:

     Instructions for use:

     1. Apply the product to the surface of the mold with a clean cotton cloth.
     2. Impurities (wax, dust, oil) will begin to dissolve immediately and should be removed with another clean cloth.
     3. Replace with a new one.
     4. Continue the process until all contaminants are removed from the mold.
     5. You can use a masking tape test to verify the cleanliness of the mold surface - a clean surface will allow the tape to adhere firmly.
     6. The mold surface is now ready for the application of release agents.

     Packaging:

     • The product is available in 1 l and 5 l packages.

     Storage:

     • The product is classified as flammable and must be stored in accordance with applicable regulations. Store in a dry environment at a temperature of 8 °C to 21 °C, away from oxidizing agents and flammable materials. Storage outside this range (below 8 °C or above 28 °C) may adversely affect the properties of the product.
