Loctite Frekote Frewax (IDH 381058 / FK5136L50) is a unique combination of wax and a semi-permanent polymer release agent. This product provides the benefits of the easy application of a liquid wax while simultaneously providing the reusability of a polymer layer. It forms a visible film that facilitates application and ensures complete mold coverage. Application: Loctite Frekote Frewax is suitable for molds used in the production of composite parts made of FRP glass fiber reinforced polyester, epoxies and other materials. It is designed for repeated demolding and provides a high gloss finish. Typical applications include the automotive and aerospace industries where high quality product surfaces are required. It facilitates application control due to the visible film that forms on the mold surface.

Use for application:

• Shake the product before use.
• Apply using a clean cotton cloth or spray gun> let dry to a haze (5–10 minutes) and then buff the surface to a high gloss.
• Apply a total of 4 coats, allowing a drying time of 5–10 minutes between coats.

Recommended products for application:

Clean the mold thoroughly with Loctite Frekote PMC by applying Frekote release agents. This universal cleaner reliably removes wax and other contaminants from the surface without scratching or dulling it. Using Frekote PMC will increase the efficiency of the separation and ensure long-term protection of the mold.

1. Pore filling: To ensure optimal separation and protection of the mold, use Loctite Frekote B-15 . These pore fillers are ideal for polyester molds, fiberglass and epoxy molds. They quickly seal porous surfaces and improve the adhesion of subsequently applied Frekote release agents.

2. Hand cleaning after work: After finishing the application, use Loctite SF 7850 , which is suitable for effective hand cleaning. This biodegradable cleaner removes oils, grease and other contaminants.

Instructions for use:

1. Clean the mold and remove all traces of previous separators and contaminants.
2. Shake.
3. Apply a thin, even layer of Frekote Frewax to the mold surface using a cotton cloth.
4. After drying (5–10 minutes), polish the surface to a high gloss.
5. Apply additional layers as needed.

Storage: Store the product at a temperature of 8 °C to 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C may negatively affect the properties of the product.
