Loctite 317 is a one-part structural acrylic adhesive. It has very fast handling strength. Typical applications include bonding tightly fitted rigid metal and ceramic components. Loctite 317 cures in a tight joint between bonded surfaces with the help of Loctite 734 activator.

<p> The structural adhesive <strong>Loctite 317</strong> with very fast handling strength is designed for bonding tightly fitted solid metal and ceramic components. The product cures in the gap between the bonded surfaces and it is recommended to use Loctite 734 activator during application. To shorten the curing time and ensure reliable curing, it is recommended to apply it to one of the surfaces before bonding. If the gap is larger than 0.05 mm (maximum up to 0.1 mm), it is advisable to apply the activator to both bonded surfaces.</p> <p> <strong>Not recommended</strong>:</p> <ul> <ak> for use in pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems and should not be used to seal chlorine or other strongly oxidizing materials; <ak> for use on plastics (especially not on thermoplastics, where stress cracking may occur);</li> </ul> <p> Where aqueous solutions are used to clean surfaces prior to bonding, it is important to check the compatibility of the cleaning solution and the product. In some cases, aqueous solutions may adversely affect the curing and properties of the product.
