Loctite 638 is an excellent, ultra-fast acrylic metal adhesive, ideal for dynamically stressed cylindrical mating parts. It is particularly suitable for applications where maximum bond strength of up to 0.25 mm is required and where rotating parts will be subjected to vibration and shock.
Loctite 638 Universal Sealant is a high viscosity green liquid that cures anaerobically and offers functional strength. It is used to prevent re-contact corrosion during wear in cylindrical assemblies and provides:
·increasing the strength of the bearing-shaft connection,
·preventing loosening or leaking of connections,
·fixing bushes and sleeves in housings on shafts on wheel shafts and pulleys on shafts,
·resistance to dynamic stress, axial and radial loads.
Loctite 638 is also the perfect adhesive for loose bearings, bushes or cylindrical parts with progressive ovality, etc.
