Product detailed description

Loctite 573 (IDH 1515354) – Long-cure gasketing

Loctite 573 is an anaerobic gasketing compound for metal flange gasketing. This product is designed to provide a permanent, flexible seal on machined metal flanges that are subject to low pressure and vibration. Its thixotropic consistency makes it ideal for applications where extended assembly times are required, such as gearboxes and engine blocks. Loctite 573 cures without air in the gap between bonded metal surfaces and ensures reliable sealing even on irregular surfaces.

Available packaging: 573 - 50 ml and Loctite 573 - 250 ml

  • Slow curing allows longer assembly times, ideal for more complex applications.
  • High resistance to vibrations and chemicals, including oils, glycols and coolants.
  • Ability to fill joints up to 0.1 mm without the risk of part deformation.
  • Running.
  • Excellent properties for sealing metal flanges and flush joints.

      Application:
Loctite 573 is suitable for sealing rigid metal flanged joints joints, such as in gearboxes, engine blocks, pumps, valve covers and other machine assemblies. Its slow cure time makes the product ideal for applications where more assembly time is required. Typical applications include sealing metal mating surfaces where high resistance to vibration and chemicals is required.

      Use for application:

      • Surface preparation: Loctite SF 7063 . If you prefer more environmentally friendly products, Loctite SF 7061 is an ideal choice, which provides gentle but effective cleaning. hydrocarbons.

      • Removal of sealant and adhesive residues: If you need to remove old sealant, adhesives or other materials from a bonded surface, Loctite SF 7200 is an ideal choice. Its application is simple - just apply and let it act, which will make the material peel off easily. Be careful with painted and plastic parts.

      • Surface activation: When applying anaerobic sealant at temperatures below 5 °C, it is recommended to first treat the surface with Loctite SF 7240 or Loctite SF 7649. The activator accelerates the curing on passive metals or at low application temperatures. surfaces: To thoroughly remove old deposits and dirt, including oils, greases and other industrial dirt, use Loctite SF 7840. This water-based, all-purpose cleaner is biodegradable and ideal for effective cleaning of various surfaces without damaging the material.

      • Cleaning hands after work: After completing the application, use Loctite SF 7850, which is suitable for effective hand cleaning. This biodegradable cleaner removes oils, greases and other dirt. Choose the right LOCTITE gasket for your application. ';shoptet.content.colorboxFooter = '
