Loctite 55 is an excellent universal thread sealant for metal and plastic. It consists of a white coated sealing cord (polyamide strand with inert lubricating paste) with a length of 50 meters, which is wound directly from the packaging onto the pipe thread. This practical packaging allows immediate use of the sealing cord, while the method of such sealing allows a small back rotation to adjust the correct position. When using it, there is no need to wait for the thread sealant to harden – the pipe can be pressurized immediately.
Loctite 55 pipe thread sealant with a cord is recommended for cylindrical and conical threads of metal and plastic pipes, fittings or fittings up to 4 inches in size and allows:
·instant thread sealing up to full pressure,
with water,
·perfect sealing of drinking cold and hot water distribution systems with temperatures up to 130 °C,
·sealing of pipe threads made of plastic and metal for various types of gas or liquids.
