Loctite 290 is an excellent medium to high strength anaerobic adhesive designed for perfect locking and sealing of small threads and threaded connections up to M6. The advantage of the penetrating locking adhesive Loctite 290 is its very low viscosity and capillary action, which is why it penetrates very well into the gaps of tightened threaded connections.
The green Loctite 290 threadlocker cures without air access and prevents loosening or leakage of the joint, making it ideal for sealing threaded joints that are stressed by vibrations and shocks in many technical applications in industry and manufacturing:
· low viscosity threads up to M6, · suitable for pre-assembled parts,
· excellent penetration into the gaps of tightened threaded joints,
· suitable for securing electrical connectors, instrument screws and set screws.

Before applying Loctite adhesives, we recommend cleaning the parts with Loctite 7063 or Loctite 7061 joint cleaner. At temperatures below 5 °C, use the activator beforehand.

LOCTITE 290 is a liquid thread locking agent with medium to high strength. Due to its low viscosity and capillary action, this product penetrates well into the joint of tightened threaded joints, so that disassembly of the joint is not necessary for its application. The product hardens without air access in the joint between the bonded metal surfaces and prevents loosening or leakage of the joint caused by vibrations and shocks.
