Loctite 278 is an excellent high-strength threadlocker designed for permanent fastening and sealing of threaded joints up to size M38. The threadlocker is designed for passive and active materials such as coated metals and stainless steel or brass, and is not bothered by oil or high temperature surfaces. Loctite 278 cures without air access in the gap between the bonded metal surfaces and prevents loosening or leakage of the joint caused by vibrations or shocks.
The green threadlocker Loctite 278 can be successfully used in many non-standard situations:
in threads up to 180 °C, · connecting a stainless steel pipe with a thread in a brass fitting, · perfect sealing function for coated metals and stainless steel,
