Loctite 262 IDH 149330 is designed for permanent fastening and sealing of threaded joints. The product cures without air access in the gap between bonded metal surfaces and prevents loosening or leakage of the joint caused by vibrations and shocks.
Typical applications include fastening and sealing of large bolts up to M36. The thixotropic nature of Loctite 262 prevents it from running off the application site. The joint is difficult to disassemble, it is recommended for all metals.

Thread locking agent with medium to high strength Loctite 262 joints (especially fastening and sealing of large screws up to M36). The joint is difficult to disassemble after using the product. It cures in the joint without access to air and prevents loosening or leakage of the joint caused by vibration and shock. Loctite 262 is suitable for all metals.
The thixotropic nature ensures that the product does not run from the application site.
Not recommended:
- for use in pure oxygen or oxygen-rich oxidation material systems;
- for use on plastics (especially not thermoplastics, where stress cracking may occur);
Where aqueous solutions are used to clean surfaces prior to bonding, it is important to check the compatibility of the cleaning solution and the product. In some cases, aqueous solutions may adversely affect the curing and properties of the product.
