Loctite 248 (IDH 1714937) is a medium strength anaerobic threadlocker for large threads and bolts, supplied as a semi-solid (wax-like) applicator stick. This makes Loctite 248 ideal for applications where liquid threadlockers are too thin, run off the part or are difficult to apply. The anaerobic stick allows direct contact with the material during application, ensuring even distribution of the adhesive on the threaded parts. Like liquid threadlockers, Loctite 248 cures in the absence of air in a closed gap between the metal surfaces of the threads. It achieves the same strength as the liquid products of the Loctite adhesive range, and offers many advantages:

We recommend:
Before applying Loctite 248, we recommend cleaning the parts first with Loctite 7063 or Loctite 7061 joint cleaner. At temperatures below 5°C, use the activator beforehand. In rare cases, use local heating on the nut or screw to a temperature of approximately 250°C for disassembly.

LOCTITE 248 is a universal threadlocker with medium strength. It is supplied in a semi-solid, wax-like form, commonly packaged as an application stick. This product seals and secures threaded joints against loosening due to shock and vibration. This product works on all metals, including passive surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. It tolerates light contamination with industrial oils, e.g. engine oil, anti-corrosion oil and cutting fluids.
