Loctite 245 is a blue, single-component locking adhesive for medium-strength locking and sealing of brass and steel threads up to M80 in diameter. At the same time, it prevents leakage of the joint caused by vibrations or shocks. This acrylic threadlocker is suitable for applications that are to be dismantled with common hand tools.
The advantage of Loctite 245 is its resistance to automotive operating fluids and fillings. The thixotropic nature prevents dripping from the application site, which allows easy application on vertical surfaces. Loctite 245 cures at room temperature; local heating to 250°C is required for dismantling. This threadlocker:
·prevents thread corrosion,
·prevents loosening of vibrating parts,
·allows disassembly with hand tools,
·cures anaerobically without air access,
·secures and seals large brass and steel> By applying Loctite 245 adhesive, we recommend cleaning the parts first with Loctite 7063 or Loctite 7061 joint cleaner.
