Loctite 222 is an excellent low-strength purple adhesive for locking and sealing small diameter threads, long threaded joints and large threads up to M36. The lock is suitable wherever low strength and easy disassembly without damage to the threaded joint are required. Thixotropic Loctite 222 adhesive does not flow and can be applied, for example, overhead.
Loctite 222 thread adhesive cures without air access in the gap between bonded metal surfaces, protects all threaded joints from vibration and shock loads and at the same time prevents metals,

We recommend:
Before applying Loctite 222 adhesive, we recommend cleaning the parts first with Loctite 7063 or Loctite 7061 joint cleaner. At temperatures below 5°C, use the activator beforehand.

  LOCTITE 222 is a low-strength locking agent that allows adjustment of screw positions, including countersunk head screws and set screws. Suitable for metals with lower strength that could crack during disassembly, e.g. aluminum or brass. This product works on all metals, including passive materials such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. It tolerates light contamination with industrial oils, e.g. engine oils, anti-corrosion oils and cutting fluids.
