Molykote D-7409 is a heat-curing dry metal lubricant (MoS2-based sliding varnish). It is designed to create a perfectly sliding contact of materials in a metal/metal combination that operate at low to moderate speeds and at the same time under moderate to high loads.
Molykote D-7409 sliding varnish is used for dry lubrication and protection of hydraulic or pneumatic parts against corrosion. It provides permanent lubrication at high temperatures and especially in cases where oils or greases cannot be used, or wherever it is desired:
·exceptional lubricity,
·improvement of the running-in process,
·good protection against corrosion and vibration corrosion,

·dry lubricant for oscillating movements or in intermittent operation,
·resistance to oils, greases, solvents and many chemicals.
Dry lubricant Molykote D-7409 has proven itself in the automotive industry, e.g. in magnetic armatures of electric starters, when applied to piston rings and valve tappets in combustion engines, on car brakes, pumps, seals, joint bearings or in mechanical engineering for lifelong lubrication of milling machines or orbital grinders, etc.
