Ceresit CS 28 Heat Resistant Sealant

Ceresit CS 28 is a one-component elastic sealant designed for applications requiring high heat resistance. This product is ideal for sealing and bonding in extreme temperature environments, where it maintains stability and elasticity in the range from -65 °C to +260 °C, with short-term resistance up to +315 °C. Due to its excellent adhesion, it is suitable for use on clean metal, glass, most non-oily woods, silicone resin, cured silicone rubber, ceramics, natural and synthetic fibers and many painted and plastic surfaces.

Application:

Ceresit CS 28 is ideal for sealing and bonding applications exposed to high temperatures, engines, and sealing joints in furnaces and chimney structures.

Typical properties:

Before curing, the sealant has a specific odor during vulcanization. After curing, it remains permanently elastic and resistant to ozone, UV radiation and temperature extremes. Use for application: It is recommended to use an application gun for precise application of the sealant. For optimal results, it is advisable to use a damp wood or a jointing trowel to smooth the surface.

Coverage:

The product is suitable for joints with a minimum width of 6 mm and a maximum width of 30 mm. For joints with a width between 6 - 12 mm, a sealed joint depth of 6 mm is recommended.

Instructions for use:

1. Make sure that the surfaces are clean, dry and free of grease.

2. Cut off the tip of the tube and screw on the nozzle.

3. Cut the nozzle tip at an angle according to joint width.

4. Insert the tube into the application gun and press the sealant into the joint.

5. Smooth the surface with a damp wood or a jointing trowel.

6. After 15 minutes, the surface will no longer be sticky.

The product has been tested according to ISO 868 for Shore A hardness.

Available in a 280 ml plastic cartridge.

Storage:

Store in a dry and cool environment, in original and undamaged packaging, at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. The product can be used within 18 months from the date of production.
